    Friends In High Places

Well I was in need and I needed a friend
I was alone and I needed a hand
    I was going down
    But someone rescued me

    Chorus:
My God cares too much to say
    His mercies are new everyday
    I get down to pray
And then help is on its way

I walk by faith and not by sight
If things go wrong, it’ll be alright
    ‘Cause someone greater
    Is watching over me
    (Chorus)

    Now in faith, I believe
    I’ve got everything I need
I walk by faith and not by what I see
I’ve got friends in high places
I’ve got someone I can call
And I’ve got someone watching over me

    Breathe @ 7:36 PM

This is the air I breathe
This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence living in me

    This is my daily bread
    This is my daily bread
Your very Word spoken to me

    And I,
    I'm desperate for You
    I'm lost without You.
    ______________________
just wanna use this song to encourage you. this song is extremely meaningful. the chorus talks of how empty our lives are without Jesus. the stanza shows how close God is to us. to the point that Gos is INSIDE us. i hope this song will speak to you as much as it spoke to me. its a simple song. continue to thirst for God's presence everyday of your lives.

Words and the Internet by Bill Sherrill

[Jesus said] "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment." (Matthew 12:36 NAS)
The Internet is a marvelous thing! It has obvious potential for evil, and we see that daily, but it also offers the greatest opportunity imaginable for sharing information.
One of the things we are learning the hard way is that very few things scattered on to the net ever die. Criminals are regularly convicted by evidence they thought "deleted." Homes are destroyed with the discovery of messages shared between a spouse and an outsider. Children are shocked to find their mother knew how to find what they had been viewing.
The Internet should only be spoken of as a tool. Tools are neither good nor evil. They become one or the other depending on how they are used. A sharp scalpel may save a life in the hands of a surgeon or take one in the hands of a murderer. Whatever we may determine about the value of the Internet, we do know that it is here to stay. Our main choice is to determine how we will use it.
This past week I was searching for an item which I knew included my name. Using the broad search with the name Bill Sherrill, I turned up an endless number of links. After searching about ten pages of references, I gave up on the search for the specific item. However, I was fascinated by the myriad of listings that referred to me personally — most of them referred to me through my writing, but occasionally it was in the writings of others. I found Thought for the Week posted on numerous web sites — some as old as 1990's. A few were on church sites, and one of them was a post from 2004. I know they maintain the site because it had current information as well.
The little bits we say are never lost! The most unusual posting was one that turned up in Japanese. Several years ago, Motouki Nomoura, a devout brother in Japan, translated a Christmas article entitled "An Ozark Christmas" and it is still floating on a web site in Japanese. I remember when he sent me a "hard copy" of the bulletin in which he first printed it. Fortunately, he had added the title and writer’s name in English, or I would have never known which article was mine. Copies of "Thought" showed up in a Catholic monthly in Jamaica, a Pentecostal magazine claiming "worldwide" circulation that was published in California and a church bulletin in Germany.
What does all this have to do with you? We all need to be reminded that the little bits that we say, write, or do are never lost. Shakespeare's warning is relevant here. He said, "The evil men do lives on, the good too often is interred with their bones." And Shakespeare did not have the Internet! Fortunately, much of the good also survives!
Solomon’s Proverbs are filled with sayings concerning "words." He comments on both the good and the evil. His primary premise is, "When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise." (Proverbs 10:19) He then writes of his judgement concerning restraint. "He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding." (Proverbs 17:27) He then defines the two kinds of words we often use. "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." (Proverbs 16:24) "A worthless man digs up evil, while his words are like scorching fire." (Proverbs 16:27)
Knowing that your "words," written or spoken, may well last long after you are gone, how should you choose them? With great care I would think! It is frightening enough to know that I will be judged by things I wrote in the past — with some of which even I no longer agree — but to think that I might be remembered by some calloused and angry word, spoken carelessly in haste, should give me greater pause and concern as I choose my words.

The world hates us? @ 6:10 PM

    MUST READ!!!!
Since the world does not believe what we say, should we give up? of course not... remember that They did not reject us, however they rejected God... although i am now feeling very down but we must never be tired of doing good... we must not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good... In John 15:18-19 says: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it's own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but i have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." This verse tells us clearly that even though the world hates us, we are still God's people... We had remove ourselves from the pleasures of the world... But if we still dwell in the worldly pleasures, we though still have the close friends and groups in the world... but who is our best friend? The so-called true friends that is non-believers? NO! They will only live for themselves... however, Jesus is obviously our true friend, as He gave His life for us... If we are not dwelling in the worldly pleasures, it will be good... As who will give us a place in heaven? Our friends? Never... Of course it's Jesus... He chosen us to be His people to spread the gospel... In Colossians 3:5-10 says: " Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in this ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator." This verse tells us that we are different from the day before we accepted Christ... If we must, we must fall foward, and not backwards... keep this post in mind...

Sigh... the world is practically so corrupted... having people insulting us, scolding us... Sharing to them about God they also don't want to hear... They don't wanna hear nevermind... I don't know whether i can still hold on to this path i'm standing now... I am still running with God... but i'm getting tired... I feel like stopping... trials, temptations, struggles crowding my mind... I cannot take it anymore... I really feel like just stopping and rest... and turn back... I feel very discouraged from all the answers coming out from friends... so disappointed about everything in my life... Suddenly I cannot sing, I cannot worship, I cannot dance, I cannot walk properly with God... Will I be able to hold on to Him? or will i just fall into the bottomless pit and never come out again.... If i fall... it's okay... but don't be like me, guys... i'm a bad example...

    Father and Son, Greater Things!

But Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth. The Son can do nothing alone. The Son does only what he sees his Father doing. The Son does the same things that the Father does. The Father loves the Son, and the Father shows the Son all the things he does. {This man was healed.} But the Father will show the Son greater things than this to do. Then you will all be amazed.
    -- John 5:19-20 (ERV)

    KEY THOUGHT:
Astonished? Yes, that is the word for it. Jesus will do many moremiracles in his ministry, he will touch many more people, and he willteach many other awe-inspiring truths. They haven't begun to see allthat God will reveal through his Son. The greatest of them, however, will bring them to full astonishment; God will raise his Son from thedead and bring him back to life in their presence. They will beastonished. Then they will begin to do great works in his name and thework of Jesus will continue to astonish as he works through hisdisciples. Jesus' work is astonishing! And, if you will look closely, some of that astonishing work is being done in you!

hey guys. pray for alvin kays? he's not feeling well. ya. =D

Tell Satan Where To Go! @ 8:35 PM

    Tell satan Where To Go

    MATTHEW 4:10 NLT
10 "Get out of here, Satan," Jesus told him. " For theScriptures say, 'You must worship the Lord your God; serve onlyhim.' "
Jesus spoke directly to the devil -- and so must you.
Many Christians think they should pray about the devil and ask God to deliver them from his attacks. But the Bible is clear --God has given the authority to believers to resist the devil.
You must control the devil, or he will control you!
Unless you exercise the authority delegated to you by JesusChrist, the devil will wreak havoc in your life, and everywherehe is allowed to.
    LUKE 10:19 NKJ
19 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Praying to God to stop the devil's operations is no different than my son asking me to take out the trash, after I have told him to do it.
God told us to resist the devil and he would flee. We must believe and act on God's Word.
    EPHESIANS 4:27 NKJ
27 nor give place to the devil.
Would God tell us not to let the devil have any place, if we had no say about it? If the devil does have a place in our affairs, it's because we allowed it.
    JAMES 4:7 NKJ
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
We must first submit to God, because we are not greater in power than the devil. But submitted to God in Christ Jesus, the devil must back off when we resist him and his works.
SAY THIS: In the Name of Jesus, I command you devil to leave me, my family, and my property alone! Be gone!
Dominic... first post... er... this really help me in times of struggles... ya... thats all!

The Armor Of God @ 5:10 PM

    The Armor Of God
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stadn against the devil's scheme. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:10-12)

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:14-18)

Guys... I think we should pray for our leaders... They really need it... Give you a example: we the members is being covered by core-members, cell leaders, zone leaders, other leaders and Pastor Foo... then cell leaders only have zone leaders and other leaders and pastor Foo to cover them... Wat about Pastor Foo? We need to pray for him also... Only God is the higher spiritual cover than him... who will pray for him then? of course it's us... so.. just take this step of faith and pray for our leaders... ya... and this verse that i wrote is about how to prevent against the devil's scheme... and also... always trust in the Lord... nothing is better than God... post more!

    hello everyone.
this is jim here. im really encouraged by you guys and girls. continue to account to one another. together in unity, we believe that many more will be added unto us. (Acts 2). these are some prayer needs for myself: lust, pride, selfish ambition. join me in prayer =).
also, to remind us and not forgetting the many things we have to continue to pray for
    1) our church building..
    2) missions..
    3) easter rally..
    4) our targetted friends..
    5) dawn, an irregular, whos also in 91/92..
    6) our schoolwork..
    7) breakthroughs..
    8) testimony to others through our lives and more.......
God has started fufilling one of the major prophecies of His 2nd coming. In Revelations 13:16-18, we all know that Satan forced everyone to have a mark on their right hands or foreheads which is the name of the beast or the number 666. About a week ago, i read of a science magazine. Doctors in the US has started to implant chips into people's brains. The chips are controlled by an electromagnet from an external source. The chips interfere directly with the brain's electric charge and nervous system. Doctors has used it to treat depression and it has already been implanted into a woman in the US. She says that after implanting the chip, she no longer feels depressed and feels very happy, like being in a totally different world. This shows how the chip has interfered with the brain's ability to function. Though it is used for treating depression, it is said in Revelations 13:14 : "He deceived the inhabitants of the earth." The chip could be further modified to totally be in command of our brains. This would turn us into robots. Scary, aint it?
Think of all the loved ones who are not believers and followers. Would you rather see them end up in hell? Put in more effort into seeing that loved one saved. Stop procastinating. Be that someone to start and leave a legacy behind. Before its too late.
Everyone's soul has eternal life. But whether its in heaven or hell, you decide.

    @ 7:28 PM

The Gift of Stillness, by Rubel Shelly

God is present everywhere and participates in all the circumstances of
our lives. It is not necessary to shut down the rest of your life or
retreat to a distant mountain top to be with him. Driving down the
highway, in hospital waiting rooms, at dinner, greeting clients – God's
presence fills every moment of the day.

The experience we call "spiritual formation" is essentially nothing
more or less than learning to be sensitive to the divine presence. We
can't fix ourselves. We can't find our own way. We certainly can't
control life's twists and turns. But we can gradually learn to sense
God's presence with us in all things. His love. And his peace. But I
confess to having a problem doing it.

As I've tried to figure out why I have the problem, at least this much
is clear: I am more comfortable with noise than silence, activity than
stillness, struggling than surrender, trying to be strong than
    admitting my weakness.

It was the French philosopher and mathematician Blaise Pascal who said,
"All human miseries come from not being able to sit in a quiet room
alone." Could he possibly be right? Do we humans need more reflection
than we permit ourselves? Time to take our thoughts and feelings
seriously? The courage to bring them honestly before God to see what he
may want us to learn? To be?

Last week I was forced to sit still in weather-bound traffic for a
while. For Type-A personalities, that is nerve-jangling,
finger-drumming time! I had a schedule. There were things to do. So ...
something told me to pray instead of churn. And I did -- about a host
of things. The time passed quickly. When I was able to get going on the
road again, there was no haste or panic. Just gratitude for an
unanticipated time for prayer. And a sense of peace about what lay
    ahead.

Maybe Pascal was right. And perhaps it would be wise to book a half day
each month for silence before God. To use dead time in airports to be
alone with God. To turn off the noise of a radio for the chance to hear
God while driving to work. It would likely do wonders to focus our
lives on being over doing. The meaning of life above its routines. The
    positives more than the negatives.

Perhaps you live at such a hurried pace that a half day or even a half
hour of silence with God seems impractical. For today, put just five
minutes of silence between appointments or work two five-minute periods
    of quiet into your morning.

At the end of the day, you may have discovered the meaning of this text
from Scripture: "Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)

    When the end times comes....
People would be forced to receive the mark of the beast
    Bible passage: Revelation 13:16-18
Written: sometime between 54 and 95 AD
    To be fulfilled: End Times
In Revelation 13:16-18, the Bible says that there would come a time when a powerful leader would force people to receive a "mark" on or in their right hand or forehead, and that no one would be able to buy or sell unless they had that mark. When the book of Revelation was written about 1900 years ago, it would have been nearly impossible for a world leader to force everyone to receive such a mark. But, today, with modern technology, it would be much easier. Today, for example, it would be possible to implant under a person's skin a small microchip that could be used like a credit card.

This thing is already happening already ain't they... we must stay strong... don't give in to the devil... But ask God to give you the strength to help you go through this... ya...
