hey people. remember to include your own names when you post. cos no one knows who's actually posting.

well, as we were writing the card on saturday, God reminded me of the story of the prodigal son. yes, we all know that desmond left, it has somehow affected us, but our walk with God should not be swayed by that. God reminded me, that He will always be like the father, waiting everyday for His son to come back home.

well now lets study more in depth into that story. in Jewish custom, the inheritance between two sons was this way: the older son would get two-thirds, the younger son get one-third. so the father decided to give the younger's son share to him. so one-third of his possessions is gone. the rest now belongs to the older son while the father owns nothing. God spoke to me very clearly, that we are the older son, always serving, obeying God faithfully. then when the younger son returned, the father took a calf and killed it and held a celebration. why then would the older brother be angry? he should be happy that his brother came back. but he became angry because the father took the older son's calf. by right, the calf already belonged to the older bro. so the older brother became angry because something was taken away from him just because his younger brother returned back home.

how can this be applied? God spoke to me, for a soul to return back to God, God will take something (a calf) away from us. are we willing to pay the price of that something? so that we can see a soul return back to God? i know im not perfect, but lets keep persevering and trying. we'll see desmond come back =)

pray that you all will continue to stand strong. and breakthrough to new levels of faith.

    Believe @ 11:04 AM

    I say on Sunday
    How much I want revival
    But then on Monday
I can’t even find my Bible
    Where’s the power
The power of the cross in my life

I’m sick of playing the game of religion
I’m tired of losing my reason for living
    Where’s the power
The power of the cross in my life

    I’m not content
Just to walk through my life
    Giving into the lies
    Walking in compromises now
We cry out as a generation that was lost
    But now is found
In the power of the cross

    Chorus:
    We believe in You
    We believe in the power
Of Your Word and its Truth
    We believe in You
So we lay down our cause
That our cross might be found in You

I’m not satisfied doing it my own way
I’m not satisfied to do church and walk away
    I’m not satisfied
There’s no love in my life but You
    I’m not satisfied
    Living in yesterday’s hour
    I’m not satisfied
To have the form but not the power
    I’m not satisfied
Oh Lord I am crucified in You

pray that this song will minister you.

busy period over! @ 7:56 PM

yes! busy period over liao. during devotion today, i was just remembering on monday, i had so much stuff to do, and so little time, and i was really rushed for time on tuesday and wednesday.but i persevered through and i believe God made a way for me. Ya, just wanna share this song:

yup. God will always make a way, even when we think he's just not doing anything while everything is clamping down on us. in actual fact he's preparing for us to take the road that he made for us, just like how He made me do all that work, yet i didn't know that He was working in the background. In the end, Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday i'm free! no homework! praise God. yup and even when we do not know where to go, He will be like this tour guide that leads us to the destination that He has planned for. and even times come and go by, but His promise will endure, and He will continue making ways for us. He will always make a way even when the situation seems so hopeless.

even i do not have mid years, but you guys would have, and i believe that during this busy period, continue trusting in the Lord, placing Him first in your life and not after your studies, and He will make a way through your mid years, and He will help you overcome them.

God bless for mid years!! (:

    today's joke @ 8:16 PM

A 65-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy.

When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, her relatives came to visit.

''May we see the new baby?" one asked.

"Not yet," said the mother. "I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first."

Thirty minutes had passed, and another relative asked, "May we see the new baby now?"

"No, not yet," said the mother.

After another few minutes had elapsed, they asked again, "May we see the baby now?"

"No, not yet," replied the mother.

Growing very impatient, they asked, "Well, when can we see the baby?"

"WHEN HE CRIES!" she told them.

"WHEN HE CRIES?" they demanded to know why.

"Why do we have to wait until he CRIES?"

"BECAUSE, I forgot where I put him!"

wa this time i'm really quite busy. but my walk with God has stayed as strong as ever.
erm, anyone in favour of buying a card, and writing a message on it to desmond? everyone in this group of course. i believe that'll help (:

    anyway, today's joke:

"I hope I'm not poisonous," said the first snake.

    "Why?" asked the second.

"Because I just bit my lip."

Bubba was bragging to his boss one day, "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them."
Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff, "OK, Bubba how about Tom Cruise?"
"Sure, yes, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it."
So Bubba and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and sure enough, Tom Cruise, shouts, "Bubba! Great to see you! You and your friend come right in and join me for lunch!"
Although impressed, Bubba's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Bubba that he thinks Bubba's knowing Cruise was just lucky.
"No, no, just name anyone else," Bubba says.
"President Bush," his boss quickly retorts. "Yes," Bubba says, "I know him, let's fly out to Washington."
And off they go. At the White House, Bush spots Bubba on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Bubba, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a cup of coffee first and catch up." Well, the boss is very shaken by now, but still not totally convinced.
After they leave the White house grounds, he expresses his doubts to Bubba, who again implores him to name anyone else.
    "The Pope," his boss replies.
"Sure!" says Bubba. "My folks are from Poland, and I've known the Pope a long time."
So off they fly to Rome. Bubba and his boss are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when Bubba says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope."
And he disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican. Sure enough, half an hour later Bubba emerges with the Pope on the balcony.
But by the time Bubba returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics. Working his way to his boss' side, Bubba asks him, "What happened?" His boss looks up and says, "I was doing fine until you and the Pope came out on the balcony and the man next to me said, "Who's that on the balcony with Bubba?"
